PTSD Reviews — The Linden Method
Verified testimonials from people who permanently recovered from post-traumatic stress disorder using The Linden Method — including trauma survivors who had been failed by conventional PTSD treatments.
"I have referred many of my patients to The Linden Method and the results have been outstanding. I have no hesitation in recommending it as a first-line intervention for anxiety disorders."
PTSD is a neurobiological condition in which traumatic experiences create persistent amygdala over-sensitisation. The amygdala continues to trigger threat responses as if the original trauma is ongoing. The Linden Method's TRT approach does not require re-living or processing the trauma. Instead, it recalibrates the amygdala's threat threshold — reducing the neurobiological over-sensitisation that drives PTSD symptoms including flashbacks, hypervigilance, avoidance and anxiety.

"I now live completely free of the awful feelings I used to experience on a daily basis."
As an adolescent, I had a number of OCD and anxiety issues. In my early 20s I contracted encephalitis — a serious virus affecting the fluid around the brain. I was left with a great deal of fear and anxiety. I spent literally years — from my early 20s to my early 40s — with ever increasing anxiety. I never took drugs for the effects I was experiencing but often could not shop in supermarkets, handle long meetings, or drive long distances. The Linden Method gave me an understanding of my issues, but more importantly gave me the tools to eradicate the anxiety. I now live completely free of the awful feelings I used to experience on a daily basis.

"Profound change — from being close to ending my life to living fully."
Three and a half years ago I was having help from a Consultant Psychiatrist, a Psychologist, a Mental Health Nurse and my GP. I was taking 10mg of Diazepam and 45mg of Zispin daily. I woke early in the morning with a churning stomach, trembled for half of the day, had a food phobia, was afraid to go out and had no friends. My mind teemed with worrying thoughts and I often thought about ending my life. When I saw the advert for The Linden Method I felt I was clutching at straws. Now I love our little garden and growing things from seed. I went to Scotland by train with my husband — something I hadn't been able to do for many years. I am now optimistic, busy and very happy. Thank you, Charles.

"You saved my life."
I have had Panic and anxiety for over 20 years. I was given Zoloft and diazepam to keep me calm but to be honest that wasn't really living. My anxiety started through a traumatic childhood and then 2 years ago I had a heart condition. After a lot of research I stumbled across TLM. Finally something I could use and finally answers to the question I so desperately needed. Your method not only works but sets you free of all the fear and irrational thinking that goes along with anxiety and panic. So I can say YOU SAVED MY LIFE.

"Serious anxiety recovery after 17 years of horror."
There are no other words than this saved my life! Serious anxiety recovery after 17 years of horror. Great support and a realistic goal!!! Those who think it's a money scam — do you not realise that Charles is determined and that can come across as harsh but when you know it works it must get frustrating when people won't help themselves. Suicidal, terrified and barely coping — or cured and living a real life? The choice is yours!

Frequently Asked Questions — PTSD & The Linden Method
Can The Linden Method help with PTSD?
Yes. The Linden Method has been used successfully by clients with trauma-driven anxiety including PTSD. Because TRT targets the amygdala mechanism rather than the trauma narrative itself, clients do not need to repeatedly revisit or process their traumatic experiences to achieve recovery.
Does The Linden Method require trauma processing?
No. Unlike EMDR or trauma-focused CBT, The Linden Method does not require the client to re-experience or process the traumatic event. The programme recalibrates the amygdala's ongoing sensitisation — addressing the neurobiological state that perpetuates PTSD symptoms, not the memory itself.
What is the difference between The Linden Method and EMDR for PTSD?
EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing) focuses on the traumatic memory and attempts to change how it is stored and processed. The Linden Method focuses on the amygdala's current state of over-sensitisation. The approach is neurobiologically different — and does not require the client to confront distressing memories.
Is The Linden Method endorsed by PTSD professionals?
The Linden Method has received endorsements from PTSD counsellors who have observed client outcomes. A nurse practitioner and PTSD counsellor states: 'In my experience, I believe that The Linden Method is the most common sense approach to anxiety disorders including panic attacks available.'
Are the PTSD testimonials on this page verified?
Yes. All testimonials were submitted voluntarily by real clients. The stories on this page involve trauma from accidents, childhood experiences and medical emergencies — all resulting in lasting anxiety and PTSD-type symptoms that were fully resolved using The Linden Method.
