Social Anxiety Reviews — The Linden Method
Verified testimonials from people who went from severe social avoidance to full social freedom — permanently recovering from social anxiety disorder using The Linden Method.
"I have referred many of my patients to The Linden Method and the results have been outstanding. I have no hesitation in recommending it as a first-line intervention for anxiety disorders."
Social anxiety disorder (also called social phobia) is the result of an over-sensitised amygdala that generates excessive threat responses in social situations. It is not shyness, introversion or a personality trait — it is a biological state of amygdala sensitisation. The Linden Method's TRT approach recalibrates the amygdala, so social situations are no longer perceived as threatening. When this happens, the avoidance, self-consciousness and performance anxiety that define social anxiety disorder dissolve naturally and permanently.

"Today, 2 years later I am panic and anxiety free."
I suffered for about 7 years of high anxiety along with social phobia and had 100s of severe panic attacks a day. I was so bad I had to stop working. Today, 2 years later I am panic and anxiety free. I also want to add that I previously worked in mental hospitals for nearly 8 years, helping people with anxiety and panic attacks. This programme is spot on and deals with the 'illness' directly. Nothing I have come across earlier has been so effective. This is by far the best programme I have come across and I HIGHLY recommend it to anyone.

"I was a guy that couldn't even take a step out of the house!"
I was a guy that couldn't even take a step out of the house! After practising what Charles said in his book I managed not to be afraid!! Wow — for the first time I understood that I was the only one that can actually help me!! TLM not only cured me 100% but it made me a fearless person!!!! Not shy any more. It has opened doors for me!! I became a Zumba instructor teaching over 40 students a class! Before I was shy to speak in front of anybody — now I teach people how to dance!! Wow big change!

"My life has improved massively — back in my stressful job and managing without any medication."
I soon became aware that the NHS are no great help with these conditions. I can now see the light at the end of the tunnel and once again life is worth living. I have as good a social life as I have had in years, I am back in the gym, playing football twice a week, I am back in my stressful job and managing — without any medication. One of the key things your continued help allowed me to do was go through with my marriage in December.

Frequently Asked Questions — Social Anxiety & The Linden Method
Can The Linden Method cure social anxiety?
Yes. Social anxiety disorder responds well to The Linden Method because the programme addresses the amygdala sensitisation driving the fear response — not the social situations themselves. When the amygdala is recalibrated, social situations are no longer experienced as threatening.
Why is social anxiety often mislabelled as shyness?
Social anxiety disorder is a neurobiological condition — not a personality trait. Shyness is a normal personality characteristic. Social anxiety disorder involves a chronically over-sensitised amygdala generating disproportionate fear responses in social contexts. The Linden Method addresses the biological mechanism, not the personality.
Does The Linden Method use social exposure therapy?
No. The Linden Method does not require clients to force themselves into feared social situations. TRT recalibrates the amygdala's threat response — so clients naturally become comfortable in social situations because the fear mechanism has been resolved, not because they have 'practised tolerating' their fear.
What results do social anxiety clients typically see?
Fredd Rodd on this page went from being unable to leave his house to becoming a Zumba instructor teaching 40 students per class. Kristján went from severe social phobia and hundreds of daily panic attacks to full recovery. James Hartley went from being unable to work to having an active social life. These are not exceptional outcomes — they are typical of The Linden Method approach.
Are the social anxiety testimonials on this page genuine?
Yes. All testimonials were submitted voluntarily by real clients. Social phobia and social anxiety are explicitly mentioned in several of the testimonials on this page.
